Located on the south bank of the Spokane River, just north of the Spokane Valley is the charming community of Millwood. It is also the home of the region’s first paper mill, which opened its doors in 1911 and is still in operation today. The whistle can be heard each workday at 7:00am, noon, 12:45 and 3:45. Over the years, the town has grown and supported many businesses including the Corner Door Café, The Old Mill and the Rocket Bakery.
Millwood residents enjoy diverse neighborhoods, homes with unique historic character and a small-town atmosphere. Its many parks, close proximity to the river and Centennial Trail make it an ideal place for outdoor enthusiasts.
